Crusheen Bridge construction

Bridge Reconstruction, Crusheen, Co. Clare – Contract Complete

Roadform Ltd recently completed the contract for the reconstruction of a stone arched bridge in Drombonniv, Crusheen, Co Clare on behalf of Clare County Council.

The works consisted of the Design & Build of a reinforced concrete bridge structure to replace a collapsed masonry stone arch bridge on a public road. This included the preservation of an original stone parapet wall believed to be approximately 150 years old. Our temporary works system allowed for the construction of reinforced concrete walls and new bridge deck whilst maintaining the original stone parapet wall. Protection of the water course and the requirement to allow the stream to flow unobstructed was prioritised throughout the construction phase.

Roadform Ltd carried out the PSCS role for this project.
